Grant for SMEs in Singapore offers a 50% subsidy for eligible businesses purchasing Microsoft 365 Copilot

Microsoft, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG)and Al Singapore (AISG) aims to support local SMEs in enhancing their productivity and AI capabilities through the use of Microsoft 365 Copilot. The Microsoft Copilot for SMEs Programme supports over 1,000 SMEs in Singapore by accelerating the adoption of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 solution. Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI-powered assistant that seamlessly integrates with Microsoft software. It simplifies daily tasks, enhances business productivity, and boosts creativity.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 – AI assistant at work

Copilot for Microsoft 365 is an AI-powered assistant that seamlessly integrates with Microsoft software. It’s embedded in the Microsoft 365 apps you use every day—Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more—to unleash creativity, unlock productivity, and uplevel skills. It simplifies daily tasks, enhances business productivity, and boosts creativity.

Examples of Copilot for Microsoft 365 in action may include:

  • Summarize the content of a large email thread.
  • Turn a text-heavy slide into concise bullet points for greater clarity.
  • Rewrite a paragraph in a different tone or style.
  • Summarize meetings and chat threads.

Target Companies

This programme targets local Small and Medium Enterprises:

  • Business entity registered and operating in Singapore
  • Company has at least 30% local equity held directly or indirectly by Singaporean(s) and/or Singapore PR(s), determined by the ultimate individual ownership
  • Company has a Group Annual Sales Turnover not exceeding S$100 million OR a Group employment size not exceeding 200 employees.

Overview of Programme Details

  • Sign-up period: 21 May 2024 – 20 Nov 2024 (6 months)
  • Qualifying period: 21 May 2024 – 20 November 2025 (18 months)
  • Grant support level: 50% of the Copilot license costs, capped at 50 supported licenses per SME

We recognize that it is important for the customers who are adopting Copilot through this government grant, will have an efficient and effective onboarding process, so that these companies will be able to utilize the benefits of the Copilot AI within their business operations. The annual license per user for Microsoft Copilot is SGD 486, with a 50% off subsidy, making it SGD 243 plus 9% GST of the original price.

Eligibility criteria include being a business entity registered and operating in Singapore, having at least 30% local equity, and having a group annual sales turnover not exceeding SGD 100 million or a group employment size not exceeding 200 employees. 

To acquire Copilot for M365, users must have at least one of the following base license:

  • Microsoft 365 F1/F3/E3/E5/A3 for faculty/A5 for faculty
  • Office 365 A3 for faculty/A5 for faculty/E1/E3/E5/F3
  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic/BusinessStandard/Business Premium

No. Each company can only apply once on a first-come, first-served basis. 

 Capped at 50 supported licenses per SME.
